Is Inspection Required for Registration in Arkansas?
Act 974 of 1997 eliminated Arkansas's vehicle safety inspection program. Since then, the Office of Motor Vehicle has processed registrations without requiring safety inspections for any vehicle type statewide.
Residents can complete registration renewals through multiple channels—online, by calling 1-800-941-2580, by mail, or at any State Revenue Office—without submitting inspection documentation.
Emissions Inspection Requirements in Arkansas
